"I had one of the greatest times on the trip I have ever had on the Appalachian trail. Some of my fears were not taking showers for three days and sleeping in a tent/hammock instead of a bed. Sleeping in a hammock wasn't bad after all I was able to sleep fine. These experiences were amazing. I loved the bible study/reflection group that we did. Mrs. Henriksen was an amazing trip leader she did so much to make sure we were all comfortable. I definitely appreciated what I took as an every day need such as water.
I would love to travel with Mrs. Henriksen again."
"My son, Daniel, took a backpacking trip on the Appalachian Trail with Jen in June, 2015. At the time he was 17 years old. The trip was an excellent experience for him. It was well planned and thought out. There was good communication between Jen and the parents. My initial fear was finding the drop off and pick up locations since we were unfamiliar with the area and we were driving from out of state to meet the group. However, we had no trouble finding the locations and the drive was definitely worth it. He thoroughly enjoyed everything about the trip. The level of physical activity and the camaraderie provided not just a good time but also a great environment for learning and growth. I was at ease in leaving Daniel in Jen's care because the preparations for the trip had been handled very well. I could see that the leadership was well equipped and had left no detail to chance. For anyone considering a trip with Jen,
I would highly recommend that you take the plunge and dive in!"
